Inspiration & Anticipation
Organic wine and carriage ride
Camping guests of the "Bio-Wein Rheinthaler" winery in Lower Austria can look over the shoulder of an organic winegrower. Fans of fine wines will get their money's worth during a wine tasting and gain an insight into the processing and storage of the wines during a guided tour of the winery. A little tip for lovers: if you book in advance, we can even organise a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride followed by a picnic in the middle of the fields.
Relaxing family time amidst sheep and pigs
Adventure for young and old is guaranteed on a camping trip to the organic adventure farm "Flambergerhof" in Styria. Guests can accompany the farmer's wife on her daily walk through the stables and try their hand at feeding the cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and rabbits. The fresh eggs for the campers' breakfast come directly from the hens' nest and the bread from the farm shop is baked from home-grown grain.
Peace, nature and recreation in the Traunviertel region
Pure nature promises a stay at the "Biohof Lebensquelle-Schöfmanngut" in the Traunviertel in Upper Austria. Whether it's forest bathing, river hiking, cycling, observing animals and insects or gardening - here it's simply a matter of relaxing and enjoying nature all around. If you like, you can also get an insight into organic farming and learn about ecological soil cultivation on a guided tour of the farm. Especially great: campers who are not self-sufficient are also welcome here, because in addition to a pitch in the middle of nature, there is also a toilet and shower on the organic farm.
Camping holidays on the Alpe
On the idyllically situated "Alpe Gerisgschwend" in Vorarlberg, the dairy's own milk is processed into butter and cheese every day during the summer months, from the start of the alpine grazing to the end of the alpine grazing season. Guests can get up close and personal and watch the dairyman at work in the morning and milking in the barn in the evening. The highlight for animal lovers young and old: Piglets, calves, chickens and cats are happy to be petted in the barn.
Hiking with Alpacas in Styria
The "Zottlerhof" on the Rechberg is a Styrian alpine farm straight out of a picture book - surrounded by colourful flowering herb meadows and an impressive view of the Almenland. Campers who are allowed to look for a spot on the meadow after arrival are offered a lot here. The offer ranges from herb walks to spinning courses and smoking workshops. The absolute highlight for many guests is a visit to the farm's own alpacas followed by a hike. Great service: If you book in advance, breakfast is even served directly at the campsite.
Bees and flowers: camping with the beekeeper
Camping holidaymakers will find an idyllic spot in the western foothills of the Alps between cider trees and orchards at the organic beekeeping farm "MOSTbee". Here, everything revolves around the topic of bees. In addition to a guided tour of the farm, guests can also practise their beekeeping skills in a crash course. A popular holiday souvenir: the adjoining farm shop sells a wide variety of creations of the sticky delicacy, from raspberry honey to poppy seed honey to nettle seed honey.
