Our concept is based on respectful cooperation between travellers and farmers, so that everyone can benefit positively from Schau aufs Land & gain wonderful experiences.
Our Code of Conduct sets out the most important rules. We reserve the right to terminate memberships if these rules are breached.
Arrival/Departure
No arrival is permitted without prior contact! Enquiries should always be made at short notice, max. a few days in advance.
Please greet your hosts on arrival and show your digital membership card . Say goodbye in person or with a message.
No guarantee
Your hosts only have a limited number of pitches. If all of these pitches are already occupied or not available for other reasons, please contact the nearest partner company of Schau aufs Land close by.
Communication
Listen to what your host has to say and if in doubt, ask again how you should act with respect the nature and animals around you and what rules apply for the use of services offered.
Cancel: Please inform your hosts on time if you won't be coming after all.
Appreciation
Thank them for their hospitality by buying from the farm or taking advantage of special offers. A voluntary (food) donation is also possible. In addition to an idyllic place to spend the night, you will receive fresh food produced with love and an insight into where it actually comes from - a win-win situation.
Environment
Never leave rubbish, cigarette butts, waste water or similar on the pitch! Please always leave the pitch as you found it - or even cleaner - and protect the natural environment in which you are staying. Please use official disposal stations to dispose of black and grey water.
Safety
Remember that there may be machines and animals on a farm that could be dangerous for you or children. Please behave with appropriate caution on the farm premises and, if in doubt, ask your hosts.
Respect
Always remember, you are on holiday, but your hosts have to work. Therefore, please always respect the respective rules of the farm - especially when it comes to pre-booking, arrival time & rest days. Please do not make any noise and respect the privacy of your hosts.
Responsibility
Together, we all make up the spirit of Schau aufs Land. It is also your responsibility to make your own stay positive and thus create the space for many more positive experiences for other travellers. Please take this responsibility seriously so that everyone can benefit from Schau aufs Land in the future.
