• Driving licence:
  To drive in Slovenia, you need a valid national or international driving licence.
• Speed limits:
  The general speed limit is 50 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h outside built-up areas and 130 km/h on motorways, unless otherwise stated.
• Safety belts:
  Wearing seat belts is mandatory for all occupants in the vehicle.
• Drinking and driving:
  The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5‰. A zero alcohol limit applies to drivers who have held their licence for less than two years or are younger than 21.
• Compulsory lighting:
  Driving with dipped headlights is compulsory at all times of the day.
