First test drive to the farm

First test phase: E-Luise officially on the road
The time has come for the E-Luise to hit the road and be put through its paces. Naturally, the first trip was to a partner farm of Schau aufs Land. There we took the opportunity and the beautiful autumn weather for a photo shoot with the yellow lady.
Conclusion on Leonard's first test drive:
The first ride in particular was simply amazing. I couldn't get the grin off my face. I waited so long for this moment and it was worth it. Raised high and with a huge steering wheel in my hand, I glided almost silently along the country road. And that in a VW T3 built in 1980, really something special.
Unfortunately - but almost as expected - not everything went completely smoothly. We discovered that there were still problems with the engine cooling system, the battery management system software was not yet working as it should and the gearbox needed to be scrutinised again. So over the winter, it's back to the workshop and onto the lift. But that's all part and parcel of prototype development.
